NEWS RELEASE February 6, 2018 Artisan Electronics receives “employer of the year” nomination for internship program ODON, Ind. – Artisan Electronics has been nominated “employer of the year” by Indiana INTERNnet for its student internship program. Artisan will join other businesses to celebrate statewide internship excellence at the Indiana INTERNnet 12th Annual IMPACT Awards Luncheon on Feb. 7 in Indianapolis. Artisan Electronics, a small business based in the WestGate@Crane Technology Park, provides technical support to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane and the Department of Defense. “For our interns, they are able to see firsthand the importance of the work they complete,” said Greg Sapp, vice president of Artisan Electronics. “Their achievements throughout the course of the program benefit the nation’s warfighter.” Daniel Campbell served as a computer user support specialist intern at Artisan Electronics. “As a recent information technology graduate, I was able to gain experience related to my field of study while at Artisan Electronics,” Campbell said. “I was able to see how a company operates, how IT is implemented in the business environment and also learn about how my work impacted the company as a whole.” The Annual IMPACT Awards Luncheon showcases programs, businesses and individuals that provide students with meaningful experiences. Individual nominees will be recognized in each category: intern of the year, employer of the year and career development professional of the year.
