MEDIA ADVISORY: Veteran Specific Parking to be Revealed at WestGate Academy

Two designated spaces to open specifically for wounded veterans at WestGate Academy next week. WestGate@Crane, Ind. - May 12, 2016 - In conjunction with Armed Forces Day and Military Appreciation Month, WestGate Academy and WestGate@Crane Technology Park are proud to announce the unveiling of two newly purposed parking spaces May 19 to honor those who have served our country; one space will be specifically for Purple Heart recipients and the other space will be specifically designated for all wounded veterans. WestGate Academy, as well as the Technology Park, stand in support of those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. Several speakers and representatives will be in attendance including Brian Romans, founder of Romans Warrior Foundation (key to organizing reserved veteran spaces), Brenda Goff from U.S. Senator Dan Coats' office, Jerry Parkinson from U.S. Joe Senator Donnelly's office, Larry Ordner from U.S. Congressman Larry Bucshon's office, and Indiana State Senator Mark Messmer will be playing the national anthem on trumpet. The ceremony will include speakers, a reveal of the designated spaces, an explanation the purpose and the need for these spaces, and cake following the ceremony. The public is welcome to participate in this event. The dedication will take place May 19, 2016, at WestGate Academy at 11:00am.
