WestGate Academy Summer Interns
June 26, 2016
STIMULUS Engineering would like to welcome two recent graduates from Loogootee High School, Paige Walton and Kendall Burch, to its WestGate Academy team.  Both interns will be gaining valuable experience at WestGate Academy and WestGate@Crane Technology Park before heading to college.  We are excited to give them the opportunity to learn more about event management and online media marketing, while strengthening their skill set in business professionalism. My name is Kendall Burch and I am a 2016 graduate from Loogootee High School. Throughout my years in high school, I was a member of the Loogootee Lionettes, the National Beta Club, and several other clubs and organizations.  I will be attending Indiana University in the fall and plan to major in tourism, hospitality, and event management with a minor in business. Before furthering my education, I wanted to better familiarize myself with this field so I began looking for a place to intern throughout the summer.  Growing up in Loogootee and seeing several community events that occur at  WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center, I knew this would be a very rewarding place to acquire knowledge. STIMULUS Engineering has given me the perfect opportunity to gain experience and to get a glimpse of what I will be doing in the future.
My name is Paige Walton and I am a recent graduate of Loogootee High School.   In high school,  I was involved in many after school activities such as Beta Club, Student Council, and softball. During my senior year, I became interested in business and began job shadowing at WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center. At WestGate,  I was able to receive hands on experience with event planning, photography, marketing, and general business etiquette. Following graduation, I became an intern for STIMULUS Engineering to further my experience before college. In the fall of 2016, I plan to attend Indiana University to pursue a degree in business.
