WTWO: NSWC Crane Science Fair
April 20, 2016
Via WTWO TV Local students with interests in science, technology, engineering and math showed off their talents to professionals on Wednesday. NSWC Crane held its 32nd Annual Science Fair at WestGate Academy in Odon. About 130 students from area schools participated in the event. Local businesses, the WonderLab, and different divisions of Crane were there to see the students' creations. Organizers say it's a way to recognize students' learning in STEM fields. 'A lot of kids see sports and things like that touted in their school, but there's never really a special day for the science stuff or the math stuff, and this gives them a chance to maybe do some learning outside the class,' says Tina Closser, the STEM Coordinator at NSWC Crane. Students received scholarship money for the top three projects in each category.
